Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 June 2026
These terms govern the use of the car rental service provided by Levano LLC. By placing a booking, you agree to the terms below.
Payment, advance and deposit
To confirm a booking you pay 20% of the price (an advance). The remaining 80% is paid in cash when you pick up the car. A separate refundable security (damage) deposit is taken at pick-up and returned in full when the car is returned undamaged. All payments are made in Georgian Lari (₾).
Cancellation and refunds
Free cancellation is available up to at least 48 hours before pick-up — in that case the advance is refunded in full. For cancellations made less than 48 hours before pick-up, the advance is not refunded.
Driver requirements
The driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a category B licence with at least 2 years of experience. See the “Rental requirements” page for details.
Documents and Authorized Drivers
At pick-up the driver presents a valid ID card or passport together with a valid driving licence. Only a driver named in the rental agreement signed at pick-up may drive the car. Any additional driver must be registered in the agreement in advance; driving by anyone not listed in the agreement is not permitted.
Use of the vehicle
The car is returned with the same fuel level and cleanliness as when it was handed over. The vehicle may be driven only by the licensed driver(s) named in the agreement. Sub-renting and any unlawful use are prohibited.
Prohibited use
The vehicle may not be used for racing, competitions or off-road driving, to tow another vehicle or a trailer, to be sub-rented or handed over to a third party, or for any unlawful purpose. Driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotic/psychotropic substances is prohibited, as is smoking inside the vehicle. The number of passengers must not exceed the number of seats fitted with seatbelts. The renter is liable for any damage or consequences arising from a breach of these conditions, in accordance with the rental agreement signed at pick-up.
Mileage
Mileage within Georgia is unlimited; no excess-kilometre charge applies.
Territory
The vehicle may be used only within the territory of Georgia. Crossing the state border, i.e. taking the vehicle outside Georgia, is prohibited without Levano's prior written permission. Any permitted neighbouring countries and additional conditions, if applicable, are set out in the rental agreement signed at pick-up. Breach of this clause may void the insurance cover and leave you liable for any resulting loss.
Insurance and Excess
The rental includes basic insurance — third-party liability and collision damage waiver (CDW). In the event of damage, your liability is limited to the excess (deductible), which is the equivalent of 100 USD. If you purchase full insurance when booking, no excess applies. Tyre damage is not covered by the insurance. Cover also does not apply in cases of gross negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, off-road use, or operation of the vehicle by a person not authorized under the agreement.
Accident, Breakdown or Theft
In the event of an accident, breakdown or theft, immediately notify the police and Levano. Do not admit fault or liability, and do not sign any statement to that effect before a third party. As far as possible, secure the vehicle against further damage or loss and follow Levano's instructions. Provide the documents Levano requests, including a police report.
Late Return
The car must be returned at the agreed time and place. After a short grace period, late return is charged in accordance with the rental agreement signed at pick-up (an hourly fee, up to a full extra day). If you cannot return the car on time, please contact us in advance.
Liability and damage
The customer is responsible for any damage, fines, and penalty charges incurred during the rental period. In case of damage, the cost is covered from the security deposit and/or charged separately, according to the extent of the damage.
Additional Fees and Personal Belongings
If the vehicle is returned excessively dirty or has been smoked in, an additional cleaning fee may apply in accordance with the rental agreement signed at pick-up. Levano is not responsible for any personal belongings left in the vehicle, so please make sure you take all your items with you before returning it.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. The parties will seek to resolve any dispute amicably through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is subject to the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia.
